Our client in Northern Virginia is seeking a talented accountant to join its Accounting Policy team.  This position will assist with the development, implementation and administration of accounting policies as well as implementation of new policies.

•  Assist with evaluating and researching specific transactions for compliance
• Track new and pending accounting pronouncements in compliance with GAAP, SEC and regulatory rules.
• Assist in the research and implementation of new accounting and financial reporting policies
• Ensure proper application of existing accounting and reporting standards.
• Assist in preparation of selected sections of SEC filings.

 Requirements:  

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA certificate or advanced degree required
• 5+ years accounting experience preferably within the technology services industry and/or public accounting
• 5+ years financial reporting / financial accounting experience
• Experience with SEC and other financial reporting
