Our client in Northern Virginia is seeking a talented accountant to join its Accounting Policy team. This position will assist with the development, implementation and administration of accounting policies as well as implementation of new policies.
- Assist with evaluating and researching specific transactions for compliance
- Track new and pending accounting pronouncements in compliance with GAAP, SEC and regulatory rules.
- Assist in the research and implementation of new accounting and financial reporting policies
- Ensure proper application of existing accounting and reporting standards.
- Assist in preparation of selected sections of SEC filings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA certificate or advanced degree required
- 5+ years accounting experience preferably within the technology services industry and/or public accounting
- 5+ years financial reporting / financial accounting experience
- Experience with SEC and other financial reporting
