Large publicly traded company in Montgomery County, MD seeks a Director of Financial Systems to head up two large implementations that will take place in the next year. The ideal candidate will have experience heading up a large Hyperion (Planning/budgeting) implementation and a large ERP implementation. This is an excellent growth potential to build a strong systems team in this growing company.
- Develops information systems strategies for the enterprise by contributing software, communication, and network information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing systems objectives in line with organizational objectives.
- Establishes information systems operational strategies by evaluating information technology trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; directing and implementing change.
- Develops information systems financial strategies by determining cost estimates for systems, communications, and network development; estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
- Updates information technology knowledge by consulting with vendors; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Implements information systems by determining priorities; scheduling and assigning projects; monitoring progress; evaluating outcomes.
- Supports users by developing systems support technical services, including help desk and remote-location service.
