Our client, a government contractor in Northern Virginia seeks a talented, highly motivated and experienced Senior Contracts Manager as a temporary consultant to work on a project. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years experience in cradle to grave management of Federal Government contracts.
- Serves as the point of contact for Government Contracting Officers, auditors and internal management.
- Negotiating/administering contracts and various contracting agreements.
- Preparation of fully documented requests to Contracting Officer for consent to subcontract packages.
- Monitoring contract execution against plan and funding, and preparing timely status reports.
- Identifying and reporting potential financial risks, contractual pitfalls and conflict of interest conditions.
Requirements:
- BS, BA degree with minimum of 7 years experience in contracting field
- Develop and prepare cost proposals and lead contract negotiations
- Highly motivated, problem solving individual
- Works well independently or with a team
