The Director of Subcontracts is responsible for leading and providing comprehensive expertise to subcontracts personnel
who support business area programs, and directing the activities of procurement personnel.
- Responsible for all subcontracts functions
- Directs the activities of subordinate subcontracts personnel
- Reviews performance of personnel and takes appropriate action
- Contributes as a proactive and involved senior member of the Contracts/Procurement team. Advises sector management on subcontracts issues.
- Provides a strong customer focus and serves as a primary interface between the subcontracts organization and the business areas.
- Ensures compliance with law, regulations and company policy.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and agency supplements.
- More than 10+ years of work experience, including at least 5 years at the management level
- Requires analytical thinking needed to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations
- Strong negotiation skills
- Advanced experience with contract negotiations, intellectual property matters
- Demonstrated capabilities in managing large, complex contractual matters and managing personnel
