Job: Controller

Our client in Northern Virginia seeks Controller to be the custodian of the Corporate office accounting operations.  The Controller will be responsible for directing the closing process, overseeing and directing balance sheet reconciliations and completing the corporate and tax financial reporting requirements, as well as establishing and maintaining adequate internal controls.

•  Manage the periodic, quarterly and year end closing
• Supervise the general accounting function (payroll, A/P, intercompany accounting, cash reconciliation)
• Supervise the payroll process
• Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations

 Requirements:

• Minimum of 7-10 years of accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA is required
• Good understanding of US GAAP and strong knowledge of internal controls and their application
