Manager – SEC-Reporting

Our client based in Vienna, VA is looking for a Manager of SEC Reporting to join their SEC reporting group.  This group is responsible for all of the monthly financial statements, quarterly filings, MD&A sections and annual reporting packages.  This is a very visible role that will interact with all levels of management as well as with internal audit, finance, investor relations and tax.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step out of public accounting into a corporate role as well as someone from a corporate background looking for additional exposure to SEC reporting, technical accounting issues and M&A activities.
Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC reports as well as monthly consolidated financial statements
• Preparation of the company’s XBRL filings and MD&A sections of 10Q’s and 10K’s
• Assist with technical accounting research and M&A activities
• Assist with SOX 404 compliance activities and external audit requests
• Interface with related groups, including tax, treasury, general accounting, accounting policy, legal, internal audit and external auditor’s
• Supervision of 3-4 staff.

Basic Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of experience with supporting SEC filings, including forms 10-K and 10-Q
