Our Services | For Job Seekers
Confidentiality
Your Search Stays Private. Full Stop.
Looking for a new opportunity is a perfectly normal part of building a career. But if you're currently employed (and a majority of our candidates are) the last thing you need is your job search getting back to your employer, your colleagues, or anyone else in your network before you're ready.
We take that seriously.
When you reach out to Capital Search Group, everything stays between us. We never share your name, your resume, or any details about your situation with anyone not a client, not a hiring manager, not anyone - without your explicit knowledge and approval first. Every conversation we have is completely confidential, and that doesn't change at any point in the process.
You decide when information gets shared, with whom, and under what circumstances. We work on your timeline and respect your boundaries throughout. If at any point you want to pause, step back, or simply stay on our radar without actively pursuing anything, that's completely fine too.
A lot of people hesitate to reach out to a recruiter because they're worried about losing control of their own search. With us, you never do.
The Best Opportunities Are Rarely Posted Publicly.
Here's something most job seekers don't know: a significant number of the best roles in the DC market are never advertised. Companies hire us specifically because they want to conduct a search quietly (without tipping off competitors), unsettling their current team, or being flooded with unqualified applicants from a public posting.
That means the only way into those opportunities is through a relationship, often with a firm like ours.
When you're in our network, you have access to a layer of the market that simply isn't visible anywhere else - not on LinkedIn, not on Indeed, not on any job board. These are active searches being worked right now by our team, for clients who trust us to bring them the right people discreetly.
Beyond the confidential searches, our relationships run deep. We've been placing accounting and finance professionals in the DC area for over 40 years. We know the companies, we know the hiring managers, and in many cases we have history with the people making the decisions. When we make a call on your behalf, it gets answered - and it gets taken seriously.
Working with Capital Search Group doesn't just give you more options. It gives you better ones, faster, through a door that isn't open to everyone.

Your Advocate
We Don't Just Send Your Resume. We Go to Bat for You.
There's a big difference between a recruiter who just forwards your resume and a recruiter who genuinely represents you. We do the latter, and we think that distinction matters more than most candidates realize.
Here's what advocacy actually looks like in practice:
We tell your story. A resume shows what you've done. We explain why it matters, what makes you different, and why you're actually a good fit for this specific role and this specific company. That context is often what separates a candidate who gets a call from one who doesn't.
We prepare you. Before every interview, we walk you through what to expect; who you're meeting, what the company cares about, etc.
We give you honest feedback. After interviews we debrief with you, even when it's hard to hear. Honest feedback and a real conversation is better than telling you what you want to hear.
We stay involved. We're with you through offers, negotiations, counter offers, and start dates. The details that fall apart at the finish line are often the ones we help hold together. If a counter offer comes from your current employer, we'll help you think through it clearly..without the emotion of the moment making the decision for you.
We play the long game. If the timing isn't right today, that’s ok.. we stay in touch. Some of the best placements we've ever made started with a conversation years before the right role came along.
Many of the candidates we placed early in their careers are now CFOs, Controllers, and VPs who call us when they need to build their own teams. Those relationships matter and they happen because we do things the right way and genuinely care about making the right fit.
